I have not been here for years so could not believe how its changed so much for the better. I did not eat but roasts looked good. Great selection of beers and wines. Great pub, food is fantastic, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. A really great place to enjoy some quality time with friends and family. Food amazing. Stayed in room 3, very clean, big room and comfortable bed. 1 star removed as I didn't have a great sleep. Unfortunately there is a security light right outside one of the windows and the blind did very little to block it out. Comida incrível. Fiquei no quarto 3, muito limpo, quarto grande e cama confortável. 1 estrela removida, pois não dormi muito bem. We were having dinner with friends and an unfair event happened. 5 minutes before happy hour, we went to the bar for cocktails, pizza, fries andbeer. It was three of splitting and 2 of us went to the toilet. Leaving behind our mate. The young, brunette long hair waitress told my friend to carry in the beer tray, the cocktails. He was carrying 3 pints and 2 cocktails to the garden. He then unluckily stumble and fell. Not even a professional waiter could carry a tray like this!!! Well, we automatically communicated this so they could clean rest of glass so know one would get hurt. We were very apologetic and the waiter cleaning up mentioned "no worries, this happens everyday" We went to the bar, and once again, the young brunette waitress, with no manners, did not even ask if we were hurt and just treated us with such a disrespect that, we had bought again the 3 pints and not only did we buy the cocktails but with NO happy hour. This is not nice Royal OAK! please be more thoughtful and respectful. We have been coming for a long time and this left us with a very bitter experience. Estávamos jantando com amigos e aconteceu um evento injusto. 5 minutos antes do happy hour, fomos ao bar tomar coquetéis, pizza, batata frita e cerveja. Eram três de divisão e 2 de nós fomos ao banheiro. Deixando para trás nosso companheiro. A jovem garçonete morena de cabelos compridos disse ao meu amigo para levar na bandeja de cerveja, os coquetéis. Ele estava carregando 3 canecas e 2 coquetéis para o jardim. Ele então, infelizmente, tropeçou e caiu. Nem um garçom profissional conseguiria carregar uma bandeja dessas!!! Bem, nós comunicamos isso automaticamente para que eles pudessem limpar o resto do vidro para saber que alguém se machucaria. Visited midweek in the evening for a cold beer after a walk with my dog. Pub was busy, but the garden area nice and quiet. Very lovely, engaging staff. Big choice of drinks, reasonably priced. Definitely recommend and will be going back. Visitei no meio da semana à noite para uma cerveja gelada depois de um passeio com meu cachorro. Been here a few times, but visited for Sunday lunch yesterday and the food was off the scale!! We had prosciutto burrata to start, outstanding starter, the best burrata so creamy and the candied Walnuts really worked, very filling. We had roast beef with cauliflower cheese as a side. Big portions, beef was very lean, no fat, very tasty. Amazing gravy and roast potatoes and veg, so tasty! Dog friendly, lovely staff, nice ambience, would highly recommend! 👌 Estive aqui algumas vezes, mas visitei ontem no almoço de domingo e a comida estava fora da escala! ! Tivemos burrata de presunto para começar, entrada excelente, a melhor burrata tão cremosa e as nozes cristalizadas realmente funcionaram, muito recheio. Tivemos rosbife com queijo de couve-flor como um lado. Grandes porções, a carne era muito magra, sem gordura, muito saborosa. Incrível molho e batatas assadas e vegetais, tão saborosos! Dog amigável, equipe encantadora, ambiente agradável, recomendo! 👌

It was rough as hell a few years back and now one of the nicest in Highams Park food is excellent apparently I did not eat but the outside area has fully open and inside partially open. Music also there on occasions. Give it a try. Probablemente uno de los mejores pubs en los que he estado en muchos años. The bathroom in our room looked tidy until we needed to use it. The toilet is installed too close to the shower so sitting is out of the question! Welcome hosts and nice breakfast.
