Quarto grande, ótimo banheiro, tem elevador e excelente localização para ir a pé aos principais pontos turísticos, principalmente o mercadoque deve ser visita obrigatória. Difícil é o taxista encontrar a entrada que leva até este hotel, pois pela via principal não se pode entrar com carro.

Uma excelente localização no coração de Madrid, o exterior do edifício pode causar algumas dúvidas devido ao seu estado de abandono e antigo, mas os quartos estão totalmente equipados, muito limpos e confortáveis. Os funcionários da sua recepção são muito atenciosos. Quando eu tiver que voltar, com certeza tentarei ficar aqui novamente. 👍👍👍

O quarto é limpo e espaçoso, com uma bela pintura da cidade. A localização é muito boa e o tratamento da recepção é gentil. O único defeito é que o aquecimento fazia barulho à noite, não me deixava dormir confortavelmente, tive que desligá-lo e estava frio.

Una ubicación excelente en pleno centro de Madrid, la parte exterior del edificio puede causar algunas dudas por su estado de descuidado y viejo, pero luego las habitaciones son totalmente equipadas, muy limpias y confofortables. Muy atentos su personal de recepción. Cuando tenga que volver, seguro que intentaré alojarme aquí otra vez. 👍👍👍

El cuarto limpio y espacioso, con una bonita pintura de la ciudad. La ubicación es muy buena y el trato de la recepción es gentil. El único defecto es que la calefacción hacía Ruido por las noches, no me dejó dormir cómodamente, la tuve que apagar y hacía frío.

Excelente relación precio calidad y ubicación. Nosotros estamos de turismo y sólo dormimos en el hotel. Tengan presente que la recepción solo funciona de 14 a 22, organicen bien su horario de entrada (no hay quien reciba las valijas si no coordinan)

La verdad es que no buscaba muchas pretensiones a la hora de reservar donde hospedarme en Madrid ya que apenas iba a pasar dos noches así que al ver el precio me dije que a poco que hubiese una cama y una manta iría más que servido pero ¿Qué decir? Me he llevado una muy grata sorpresa. Para empezar la ubicación, en pleno centro de Madrid, ni dos minutos tardas en ponerte en la Plaza Mayor. La chica que me atendió en recepción decir que era tremendamente agradable es ser injusto porque se queda corto, muy, muy maja y ya me hizo sentir bien y cómodo cuando apenas había entrado en la recepción y ofreciéndose a ayudar en todaslas dudas que pudiese tener ya no solo del hostal si no de la propia Madrid. La habitación me pareció increíble, estaba impoluta, ni una mota de polvo, era amplia y con una cama comodísima de la que incluso me costaba levantarme por la mañana, en serio, fue un sueño muy placentero. El baño es pequeño pero suficiente y también impoluto. Ha sido una muy grata sorpresa de un lugar que ha superado todas mis expectativas y que me sorprende porque siendo un hostal lo he visto mucho mejor que hoteles supuestamente "superiores". Muy contento de haber elegido este hostal y lo recomiendo sin miedo a que pueda decepcionar a quien siga mi consejo.

Superó las espectativas. El trato excelente en recepción por parte de la agente Elena fue muy bueno, la habitación y lugar físico también. A un paso de la plaza mayor y enclavado en el casco histórico de Madrid donde la visita a distintas reliquias históricas se pueden acceder caminando, da un resumen...recomendable. Único inconveniente es llegar en coche, aunque si lo tomamos como aventura de hormigón es muy bueno.

Increíble alojamiento a menos de 10 minutos de la Almudena o la Latina andando. Realizábamos un viaje cicloturista y tuvieron el gran detalle de dejarnos subir las bicicletas a la habitación. Desayuno incluido en la habitación. De fácil acceso con códigos en todas las puertas de entrada. Moderno, cuidado y limpio. Decorado con estilo con los rincones emblemáticos de la capital. ¡Sin duda repetiremos!

Very good hotel, we couldn't believe it has only one star. Big and spacious room, all very clean and tidy and we had air conditioning!!! Which saved us in Madrid's August weather. I would totally recommend staying here, it gave us a great value for the money

It was a great experience! The rooms were clean, and well equipped. The location was perfect to walk to all the touristy spots around Madrid. Best of all the reception staff was beyond kind. Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful place in the heart of Madrid! The Citadel is an ideal place to start exploring Madrid since it is located right in the city center. At first sight, it seems like it's not a very nice place due to the old staircase, but as soon as you enter the extremely clean and modern rooms you fall in love with this place. This place is definitely a total recommendation for everybody wanting to explore Madrid from its heart out!

Staff was very friendly and spoke fluent English, gave some pointers about interesting areas in the city as well. Rooms were cleaned every day and were very neat, bathroom facilities were also clean with basic amenities provided. Street where the hotel is located is quite calm but only a few streets over you'll find yourself in the busy city streets. Would definitely go here again!

Not a good place! The building is quite run down, musty smell and the elevator is tiny. The stairs looks a bit unfinished/run down too. The room looked OK and was clean but smelled musty/moldy, especially the bathroom. I slept with the window open most of the night. The receptionist was the best and only highlight of this place. Very enthusiastic and ready to share her knowledge about Madrid! I really appreciated that part. I give this place 1 star rating instead of zero, because of her good customer service.This is not a hotel nor a Airbnb. They have 10 rooms on 1 floor and reception staff is only there from 2pm to 10pm. In the morning, at check-out at 11, no one was there. Reception services starts at 2pm! There is a phone number to call but noone told me the reception would not be there in the morning. The cleaning personnel do not speak English. Thank goodness, I was able to get a taxi right outside at the end of the street, as it is also a difficult location to reach. Some taxi do not drop off right in front of the door. That is normal for the city center but this is a small alley that is hard to reach.

The people who manage the hotel are not honest!!!! They knew it was a mistake and they want to take advantage of that !!! I strongly recommend never estás in this hotel!!! They will charge for services they didn’t provide !! I live in Madrid, they are charging me 70 euros for a service that never happened !! Please stay far from this hotel !!

A very nice place to stay, clean and very spacious. Extremely nice and polite staff at the reception. The only unconvince I noticed was not working ventilation in the bathroom. Overall a nice experience with accommodation in the very centre of Madrid.

The Citadel by Pillow is definitely a good place to stay in the heart of Madrid. Not only you have the most important spots in walking distance but you will find the famous Mercado St. Miguel literally under your nose. In the interiors, the wood is not real wood and the tiles are actually not real tiles but the rooms are clean and you have the basic refreshment for free.

This is a great location and the room is clean. Yes, it's a little worn and the edges of the shower stall have some mildew, but the employees are helpful and it's a comfortable, no frills place to sleep. Watch out for the inside of the electric kettle though- some of the rust can flake off.
