What a lovely experience! We stayed here as a group of three during the long weekend with such warm hospitality by Jo and Cathy. Mike makes the most delicious breakfasts that we always looked forward to in the morning! The B&B was built in 1887 but it was well-renovates and taken care of. It’s an all round 5-star experience and I highly recommend this place to all travellers! Que experiência adorável! We meant to make this review much sooner, by almost a year, but better late than never.Me and my (now) fiancee were in Saratoga celebrating our anniversary and to see the Dead and Co concert at SPAC. It was also Travers weekend, which we somehow didn't realize before showing up. We were immediately greeted with a warm welcome at Saratoga Dreams, and stayed in Room 4. The bathroom for Room 4 is down the hall, but still is completely private and we didn't feel uncomfortable having to leave the room to get to the bathroom. And it was worth it to have access to that very memorable bathroom.Breakfast was impressive every day, and there was always an offer of seconds and dessert. The food was always perfectly made, and the menu was always creative with a homestyle feel. Luckily, downtown is a short walk away, and we were able to walk off our large breakfasts. We actually didn't have to move our car from the parking lot for the entire weekend. And the race track was nearby enough that we could walk back and forth whenever we wanted.Everyone at Saratoga Dreams made us feel like family for the few days that we spent there. Especially when, during breakfast, they found out that I had proposed to my fiancee the night before at the concert. Champagne was immediately popped and the excitement just added to our already special weekend.We would strongly recommend staying at Saratoga Dreams no matter what you're planning on doing in Saratoga. We stayed at the Saratoga Dreams Bed and Breakfast on Labor Day weekend and we had an incredible experience. Jo and Mike were welcoming and thoughtful. The best part was the cocktail hourcentered around the Kentucky Derby - they made mint juleps and finger sandwiches which were spectacular. Extraordinarily well preserved ca. 1887 Victorian Gingerbread house, with superbly maintained original finishes on the quartered sawn white oak paneling throughout the common areas and first floor, and casings and doors. All original hardware, stained glass windows, great details.Big rooms with high ceilings, a pool table and working pump organs on the ground floor, beautiful sweeping wrapaound porch overlooking the Saratoga Raceway, with koi pond and lillipads in the front yard.Walk out the back and 1/2 block away and you are at the stables and the practice track for the race horses.The Racing Horse museum is next door.The proprietors are extremely hospitable and pleasant.The best thing of all is their chef preparing breakfasts, it is truly gourmet, really memorable.The best breakfast both days I stayed that I have had in decades, a Raspberry filled homemade scone, French Toast stuffed with a raspberry creme and goat cheese topping, an omelet, artisinal bacon,and a desert of your choice (Bananas Foster, key lime tart, or cake), all homemade by the chef. Different fare each day.The suite of three rooms I enjoyed has two bedrooms, a 2nd floor private balcony, and bathroom with large, deep tub, that also had a shower, and was a converted large bedroom. Period Chestnut furniture modified for use as a vanity and sink.Charming, and Very reasonable prices! Extraordinariamente bem conservado ca. I am very pleased to write this review. I was there celebrating my 60th birthday and I was not disappointed.The owners Kathy and Joann are the most gracious hosts ever. Mike the chef is AMAZING! What an amazing experience! I stayed at SDB&B with my Boyfriend and we had an incredible stay.Aside from the décor and hospitality- the chef knocked our socks off! We had all these plans to head into town and we had reservations at a restaurant and to be honest our first night we didn't even make it out of the B&B! Sitting on the porch relaxing with a freshly made mint julep while the chef whipped homemade BBQ?: Priceless. I absolutely loved every moment of my stay at Saratoga Dreams and can't wait to come back. When I told Jo and Chef Mike that we were skipping breakfast to head to a hike at 6:30AM they offered to wake up early and make sure breakfast was prepared for us- You can't beat that. If you are on the fence- just book it- you won't regret it. Clean/Quiet and great company:See you soon Jo and Mike ! Que experiência incrível! The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as special as can be! The breakfast was out of this world, with new and creative options everyday made by a fantastic chef. They paid the carefullest attention to the littlest details; a lovely coffee station, juices and snacks throughout the house, lots of games, antique furniture, and a pool table all added to the amazing charm of the home. Our group took 3 of the 4 rooms and everyone said the beds were so comfy, truly a lovely and unique experience! Our stay at Saratoga Dreams was delightful! Jo greeted us each morning with positivity and high energy. The rooms are charming and well appointed with a comfortable mattress and pillows. Each morning Chef Mike makes a fabulous, filling breakfast that holds you over through the morning and does not disappoint. Saratoga Dreams is in a great location with about a 10 minute walk to downtown, easily access to all things in Saratoga and easily accessible parking. The property is directly across the street from the Saratoga race track, so a great location if you plan on attending the horse races. We are not only coming back for more, but will also send our close friends and family up here soon! Nossa estadia no Saratoga Dreams foi encantadora! Each morning Chef Mike makes a fabulous, filling breakfast that holds you over through the morning and does not disappoint. Saratoga Dreams is in a great location with about a 10 minute walk to downtown, easily access to all things in Saratoga and easily accessible parking. The property is directly across the street from the Saratoga race track, so a great location if you plan on attending the horse races. We are not only coming back for more, but will also send our close friends and family up here soon!
The owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as special as can be! The breakfast was out of this world, with new and creative options everyday made by a fantastic chef. They paid the carefullest attention to the littlest details; a lovely coffee station, juices and snacks throughout the house, lots of games, antique furniture, and a pool table all added to the amazing charm of the home. Our group took 3 of the 4 rooms and everyone said the beds were so comfy, truly a lovely and unique experience!
What an amazing experience! I stayed at SDB&B with my Boyfriend and we had an incredible stay. Aside from the décor and hospitality- the chef knocked our socks off! We had all these plans to head into town and we had reservations at a restaurant and to be honest our first night we didn't even make it out of the B&B! Sitting on the porch relaxing with a freshly made mint julep while the chef whipped homemade BBQ?: Priceless. I absolutely loved every moment of my stay at Saratoga Dreams and can't wait to come back. When I told Jo and Chef Mike that we were skipping breakfast to head to a hike at 6:30AM they offered to wake up early and make sure breakfast was prepared for us- You can't beat that. We stayed at the Saratoga Dreams Bed and Breakfast on Labor Day weekend and we had an incredible experience. Jo and Mike were welcoming and thoughtful. The best part was the cocktail hour centered around the Kentucky Derby - they made mint juleps and finger sandwiches which were spectacular.
What a lovely experience! We stayed here as a group of three during the long weekend with such warm hospitality by Jo and Cathy. Mike makes the most delicious breakfasts that we always looked forward to in the morning! The B&B was built in 1887 but it was well-renovates and taken care of. It’s an all round 5-star experience and I highly recommend this place to all travellers! ¡Qué hermosa experiencia! Nos alojamos aquí como un grupo de tres durante el fin de semana largo con una cálida hospitalidad por parte de Jo y Cathy. ¡Mike prepara los desayunos más deliciosos que siempre esperábamos por la mañana! El B&B fue construido en 1887 pero fue bien renovado y cuidado. ¡Es una experiencia completa de 5 estrellas y recomiendo encarecidamente este lugar a todos los viajeros!
