Uninhabitable does not begin to describe the garbage dump of a "hotel" that Ascent has the audacity to charge consumers for in Brooklyn. Every moment of the experience, from being welcomed by mostly boarded up front doors, to the unintelligible "reception" workers, only accessible after traversing the relentlessly begging vagabonds, to the putrid smells, offending sights, and other worldly inhabitants of the "lobby" makes me confident that this place should be immediately and permanently closed down. No legitimate company should put their name behind this brand. My comforter and sheets were so filthy, that I literally purchased 3 yards of fabric to cover the bed, to prevent any contact with it. I was forced to sleep fully clothed, with my hood over my head.There was only a little toilet paper left on the roll when entering the room. There was no soap.The idea of using the shower was just comical.All the hard surface flooring was sticky, and carpet stained.Huge hairballs punctuated the ambiance.Prison-like is the only way to describe the lighting, which was absent any lamps.There were unknown brown stains on the ceiling. The remote control for the TV, while somewhat functional, was sticky and smelled.There was absolutely nothing redeeming about this location, including the thick rancid scent of something rotten and burnt at the same time. I beg anyone who considers staying here out of convenience to reconsider, unless you enjoy throwing money in the trash in return for the worst hotel experience you will ever have. Really aweful experience. We called to modify our reservation from 3 to 2 nights and were told everything would be fine which turned to be the very opposite of fine upon arrival.Our reservation was somehow canceled all together (eventhough we called again the night before and were told it was all good) we had to work the situation out for 2 hours and were told we had to pay for our 2 nights at the current rate which was astronomical. In the end, we were still charged for 3 nights as they are refusing to refund the canceled night.The rooms are muggy, run down, and smell like urinals. Lipstick stains on towels and weird stains on the carpet. Unacceptable business practices.Do not go there. Experiência realmente horrível. Yikes, I've stayed in cheap motels that were in better shape. The description and photos of this hotel are completely different from the reality. I saw no sign of a bar or restaurant, just a basement space for breakfast. The room smelled like cigarette smoke - all of my stuff now smells and I'll have to air my bags out. It looked like someone had punched the wall art in our room. Gashes in the walls, smashed outlet cover. The only lighting was the overhead, it looked like the sconces on the headboard that are shown in the hotel's photos had been removed. The shower floor was pretty gross. The staff seemed pretty uninterested when we checked in, but nearly every time we came or went there was another customer in the lobby fighting with them about some issue. The door and walls were so thin that at one point in the night I woke up scared because it sounded like someone was trying to get into my room, only to discover that it was someone across the hall. I didn't think the other reviews that I read could possibly be fair, but I should have listened because it really was that bad. Caramba, eu fiquei em motéis baratos que estavam em melhor forma. Booked a non smoking room for 5 nights; got to the hotel and of course they gave us a room reeked of smoke. The bed linen had stains so we had to request a new room. They wanted to charge us more money but we protested that we were not given what we paid for so the agent agreed and moved us to a different room;which was better. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom/shower was good too. But the people in and out of that hotel gives a weird vibe. There were loud banging and cursing in the hallways at nights. On my floor there was one dude banging on a door after midnight promising to “violate” the person behind the closed door. I tried to call the front desk to report but the phone didn’t work; guess it’s just for show in the room.The location was central where you can walk around and shop and easy access to restaurants and local foods. The hotel itself isn’t bad but some of the people who stays there are a bit sketchy and there’s no security ensuring only guest comes into the building and for that I wouldn’t stay there again. Tentei ligar para a recepção para relatar, mas o telefone não funcionou; acho que é apenas para mostrar na sala.A localização era central, onde você pode caminhar e fazer compras e fácil acesso a restaurantes e comidas locais. O hotel em si não é ruim, mas algumas das pessoas que ficam lá são um pouco incompletas e não há segurança garantindo que apenas os hóspedes entrem no prédio e, por isso, eu não ficaria lá novamente.

The rooms were fairly clean and I was able to get a little rest. Purpose was served.I did notice that the small table lights were missing and the soap dispenser had no soap (thank goodness I had my own). You definitely will see things that make city life interesting. We were able to get a variety food after 12am, which was a big plus for me. I love to eat! Experience Flatbush Ave its a good Vybe. Não tendo outra escolha fiquei neste hotel, que nem merece uma estrela nos comentários do Google, o quarto não estava bem limpo, havia roupas íntimas no guarda-roupa, a pia estava entupida e o controle remoto da TV estava engordurado. Bathroom was nice, great water pressure and hot water.Tub had the non slip markings which actually made it look dirty.Room with 2 queen beds was not bad. Door was dirty.The skirt of the bed platform was stained. The remote control did not have the channel guide option.There was tape holding the batteries in.There was a coffee maker but no coffee,sugar etc. The ac worked well but was challenging to lower.No vending machine.No minibar or complimentary water.Room was equipped with safe and refrigerator.The front desk agents seemed to try to RIP off my mother by quoting an unreasonable rate. Em um walk-in, foi cobrado $ 160,00 em dinheiro por uma noite e inicialmente colocado em um quarto sem controle remoto e uma TV que foi quebrada com tela central. Antes de tudo, antes da minha chegada liguei para a recepção a caminho do hotel, fiquei 35 minutos na espera, desligo e ligo de volta, eles desligam o telefone na minha cara .. As fronhas não pareciam limpas, meu marido e eu tivemos que borrifar o frasco inteiro de Lysol na cama, lençol e fronhas para dormir melhor porque não confiamos em nos deitarmos assim. Acontece que eu e meu marido saímos antes do check out .. Eu não recomendaria ninguém para reservar este hotel. A limpeza é um problema "GRANDE" ... Tinha uma geladeira muito pequena que estava plugada, mas mesmo assim, quando eu abri para colocar as coisas, não tinha "NÃO" ar frio saindo dela, isso é loucura !!. ! Minha curta estadia foi desconfortável ... Este lugar não é nada o que parece ser anunciado na web. É nojento!

Immediately at that moment I got a very bad impression. When I arrive I notice the lobby floor was so DIRTY! They hospitality was unflattering, they wasn't pleasant at all.. When I got to my room, the king size bed look like the same size like a queen. The shower head was very dirty with soap scum it was so obvious and visible to see.. The pillow cases didn't look clean, my husband and I had to spray the entire bottle of Lysol on the bed, sheet & pillowcases to sleep better because we didn't trust laying down just like that. It turns out my husband and I left before check out time.. I wouldn't recommend anyone to book this hotel. The cleaniness is a "BIG" problem... There was a very small refrigerator that was plug in but yet, when I open it to put stuff, there was "NO" cold air coming from it, this is crazy!!. ! My short stay was uncomfortable..This place is not at all what it appears to be advertise on the web. It's disgusting!

On a walk-in I was charged $160.00 cash for an overnight & initially placed in a room w/ no remote & a tv which was smashed center-screen. As it was past 10pm when booking the room w/ a noontime check -out, it shouldn't have cost $160. It should've been $100.00 tops

Foi uma estadia curta foi bom. Excelente governanta, conhece as coisas dela. Fiquei no 7º andar, continue o bom trabalho. A única falha que a área de recepção precisa ser mais convidativa precisa ser decorada com algumas belas fotos e plantas
Eles me levaram no último minuto e o quarto era bom. Infelizmente, devido à pandemia, não havia café da manhã e os edredons tinham algumas manchas. Eu não acho necessariamente que eles estavam sujos, eu só acho que porque eles eram brancos, eles podem ter sido manchados e foi difícil sair, mas isso ainda é uma aparência ruim.
Este hotel é um pesadelo. A menos, claro, que você seja um povo festeiro e adore ouvir música hip hop alta e ruim até de manhã e fumar cigarros e maconha com seus outros cinco amigos. Tive que trocar três quartos, o primeiro com fumaça de cigarro, o segundo estava impossível de dormir devido ao alto volume de festa acontecendo na porta ao lado e a fumaça de maconha vindo de lá. então, finalmente, quando eu pedi um terceiro quarto, eles disseram que só tinham camas de casal e eu tive que pagar a mais por isso! Não é minha culpa se você tem quartos imundos! Depois de discutir por 10 minutos no meio da meia-noite, eles finalmente me deram o quarto duplo. Aquele cheirava menos! Mas então o casal ao lado teve uma grande briga às 2 da manhã e a certa altura expulsou o filho. Foi uma loucura. Nunca vá para este hotel se você não estiver realmente desesperado. Ou realmente em festas e fumar. Não vale um centavo.
As fotos postadas online para o lobby não correspondem ao que você realmente obteve. O quarto do hotel corresponde às imagens apresentadas online, mas eram muito pequenas. Os quartos não foram bem limpos e tínhamos o cabelo de outra pessoa em nossas camas, toalhas e nos chuveiros. Meu marido limpava muito porque nós temos filhos pequenos e não queríamos que ficassem doentes. Era uma substância pegajosa na porta e na parede ao lado do banheiro. Era muito alto no momento de outros hóspedes do hotel e havia muito fumo no hotel. A equipe é educada, mas eu não voltaria a este hotel.

I gave 4 stars because I got up 2 days in a row for breakfast. Nothing. No breakfast they lied. An my toilet ended up flooding
The pictures posted online for the lobby does not match what you actually get. The hotel room match the pictures displayed online but they were very small.The rooms were not clean well plus we had someone else's hair in our beds, towels and in the showers. My husband cleaned a lot because we have small children and did not want the to get sick. It was a sticky substance on the bathroom door and the wall next to the bathroom. It was very loud at time from other hotel guests and there was a lot of smoking in the hotel. The staff is polite but I would not come back to this hotel.
They took me in last minute and the room was nice. Unfortunately due to the pandemic there was no breakfast and the bed comforters had some stains. I don't necessarily think they were dirty, I just think because they were white they may have been stained and it was difficult to get out but that's still a bad look.
It was a short stay was good. Excellent housekeeper know her stuff i stayed on the 7th floor keep up the the good work. Only fault the reception area needs to be more inviting needs to be decorated with some nice pictures and plants
This hotel is a nightmare. Unless of course you are a party people and love to listen to loud bad hip hop music until the morning and smoke cigarettes and pot with your five other friends. I had to change three rooms, the first one wreaked of cigarette smoke, the second one was impossible to sleep in due to high volume party going on next door and the weed smoke coming from there. then finally when I asked for a third room, they said they only had double beds and I had to pay extra for it!!! Not my fault if you have filthy rooms! After arguing for 10 minutes in the middle of midnight, they finally gave me the double room. That one smelled less! But then the couple next door had a huge fight 2 am in the morning and at one point threw their kid out. It was insane. Never go to this hotel if you are not really desperate. Or really into partying and smoking. Not worth a penny.
Cons: Hotel room had an incredibly strong smell of cigarette smoke the entire stay. The smoke detector actually had a layer of plastic wrap over it, which seems safe. Water pressure in the shower resembled a man in his 70’s, with prostate issues, attempting to urinate. Scratches and damage all over the room. Elevator had snot caked onto the walls. Pros: There was a desk in the room. They bed wasn’t the worst. There were plugins on the bedside table. Big tv and the AC was cold. Pretty decent Taco Bell right next door. Overall would not recommend staying here unless you were really hurting for a place like I was last minute.
