It was okay. Stayed for 4th of July weekend and our bathroom didn’t have any towels in it, the room wasn’t in the best shape and there were stains all over the floor. Definitely not worth the price I paid for one night. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and I could tell he was overwhelmed, felt bad for him. Definitely wouldn’t stay here again though.

Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and in good shape. Beds are comfortable. Grounds and public facilities are well kept. All around great experience. A++++ highly recommend!

First off, I do want to say that the only person who made my stress level go down, and made me feel better was Katy. She was very helpful, understanding, apologized for the experience I was given. I worked in hotels for 6 years, I’m pretty familiar with how everything works, I am an easy going person, patient, kind. I also am aware different hotel chains manage things differently as well, but when it comes to customer service I think we can all agree that communication/professionalism is very important when dealing with a group, or even just an individual. I had a wedding block set up, if there was any other hotel in Waunakee, Wi I would have had my guests stay there instead. The lack of communication with management was terrible, I kept forgiving the fact that I kept getting told they were not sure if they were going to fix their shuttle, or buy a new one, or if I was going to have one for my guests to get to wedding at all, or the fact that they were giving me a group rate that was supposed to be 10% off rack rate but it was in fact more than what they were charging for a standard 2 queen. I kept calling trying to get update on what people had made reservations, but the manager in charge of group blocks was not calling me back, I called three times the week of my wedding, NEVER got a call back. Showed up Friday to check in, manager was not there, Katy was working, she went through all my guest reservations with me, all of them had a different rate, most were not even put in my block. She went through, gave me the correct rate I was supposed to have in the first place, and informed me that they had booked a shuttle for me, I was so relieved. Next day manager was working, he stopped me in the lobby and said “Are one of you Stephanie, I need to talk to you” but he was on the phone, so I stood there waiting, when time was not on my side because I had to get ready for my wedding. I will not go into detail on this next part, but he approached the situation the completely wrong way with an already stressed out bride, long story short, we did not have a shuttle given the options they had for us. I do however appreciate the effort. Now the manager seemed like a nice person, but I’m assuming he must have friends in high places, because I can’t determine how he got to this management title in the first place, if you want to turn your guests customer service experience positive, and not go under I would seriously look into new management. In the mist of all this, they did say they were going to credit my CC $100 for the inconvenience (which did not make sense in the first place, because I was only supposed to be charged for 1 night that did not even equal that) but I did not have time to argue. Once I looked on my bank account, realized they charged me $173?! I gave it a few days, because credits take time to be seen, but it never came. Called yesterday, I got Katy again, she said she would look into it, call me back, I was never credited, she took care of it. I really hope in the future other people have better experiences.

Pool and hot tub down for maintenance, but no mention of that when we specifically asked when making our reservation.
Lost our reservation. Said they had no record of our reservation or the fact that we had already paid upon check out, despite having already spent the night!
Breakfast was horrible. Stale muffins, cold sausage gravy, hard biscuits. Pancake and waffle machines not in service. Coffee was the only palatable item. Eggs and hashbrowns...wouldn't even take a chance, based on looks.
Attitude of the clerk upon check out was too much. Not our fault that the people they hired were incompetent. Eventually, after a phone call after leaving, it was noted that we were a 'no-show', despite being issued keys, prepaying, and actually spending the night.
Avoid, at all costs. I think I would rather have slept in my car and breakfasted at McDonald's than deal with this place.

I booked this hotel because of the price, was not expecting much out of it but I loved it! The staff were super welcoming and kind had great conversations with them. They do not have an elevator bit only 2 floors so not to bad. The breakfast was really good could have used some breakfast meat but there were plenty of other things. The room was a bit cramped but overall comfortable. The pool are looked awesome and they have a workout room! It is super cute on the outside and has a little book out front to sit and relax. They also have a little library in the front that you can borrow a book from I absolutely loved that! It could use a little more selection of books but still so great first time I have seen that at a hotel!
