I live in London and went to Cuba for a nice holiday break. We chose to stay in the Melia Buenavista and was the best decision ever!
The food selection pretty good and the quality was great. The staff is lovely and very professional.
Rooms and hotel, in general, are super clean too.
I would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully, I can come back in the future

Fantastic gem of Cuba! This resort is situated on 3 of the most fantastic beaches in the Caribbean. The snorkelling is far the best we have ever encountered. The rooms are well appointed, might be a bit tired but for Cuba, that’s normal but the view and the fantastic outdoor showers are so worth it. The staff are hands down absolutely the most warm and hospitable in all of Cuba (and we have been to many adult only high rated resorts in Cuba). The butlers go well out of their way to provide a Luxury experience and the bar tenders and servers are very hardworking. The resort is maintained and very clean. The food is really the issue that needs to be bettered. It wasn’t the best we have encountered and even for Cuban standards, they should be investing time in improving. But we will definitely return! ❤️
PS I read recent reviews on TA of rodents being an issue but we didn’t see any indication of this at all in our two weeks and wonder of the validity of the reviews.

For the price one would expect excellent service, food and hospitality from this advertised 5 star adults only all inclusive resort.
At every turn some of the staff were expecting continual tipping.
The food was beyond bland, the outside power went out 3 times in the week while we were there..
My partners jacket was stolen from the resort inside bar, and the bites from invisible sand fleas were beyond awful.
The room cleaning staff was excellent and very professional.
The gardeners who are paid very little, are well deserving of tips.
Restaurant staff were also very good, honest and welcoming.
Butler service is not worth the extra money.
You can get better service from the tour desk.
In summary, this review was not written lightly as 6 days later I am still applying Benadryl cream.
On a final positive note, the beaches are lovely and dining in any of the small towns , wonderful.

Amazing location with 3 different swimming beaches to choose from. Very spacious rooms, with balcony, and also outdoor shower that was personal favorite. Butler service was nice addition, and we really enjoyed our stay.
