Overlooking the Irish Sea The Portmarnock Hotel is located between the picturesque villages of Malahide and Howth. It boasts a Championship Golf Course and an award-winning brasserie.The hotel combines modern elegance with the grandeur of a 19th-century residence previously owned by member of the Jameson Whiskey dynasty now home to the famous Jameson Bar. Rooms also include internet access and tea/coffee-making facilities.The hotel’s golf course was designed by Bernard Langer and played host to the Irish Ladies Open in 2008 and 2009. The hotel also has direct access to the beach a fitness room and the Oceana Beauty & Treatment Rooms.The hotel is only 15 minutes from Dublin Airport and 30 minutes from Dublin city centre.

Acabei de chegar do casamento dos meus irmãos em Portmarnock. Tudo o que posso dizer é que o hotel é fabuloso. A comida era inacreditável e serviço foi de primeira classe. Não posso deixar de mencionar o Conor que cuidou de nós para a degustação da refeição e também no grande dia e estava constantemente cuidando dos noivos. Ele é fantástico em seu trabalho e realmente faz você se sentir bem-vindo lá. Obrigado por uma estadia maravilhosa e um dia para recordar.

Just home from my brothers wedding in Portmarnock. All I can say is the hotel is fabulous. The food was unbelievable and service was top class. I have to mention Conor who looked after us for the meal tasting and also on the big day and was constantly looking after the bride and groom. He is fantastic at his job and really makes you feel welcome there. Thanks for a wonderful stay and a day to remember.

We had our wedding in Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links. We had the most wonderful wedding day there and enjoyed an outdoor ceremony overlooking the beach and an outdoor drinks reception in the 'secret garden'. We are grateful to all of the staff in the hotel who contributed to making our wedding day so special. In particular, we have to single out one individual who we cannot speak highly enough of. He is the staff member who looks after the catering and beverages, and his name is Conor Duggan - a super asset and member of the team in the hotel. He is a total professional, superb at his job, and is also really friendly. He could not do enough for both us and our wedding guests when he was responsible for overseeing the dinner and the evening reception. We had so many guests who complimented Conor and gave us positive feedback about him. He went above and beyond and we are so grateful that he was working at our wedding to give the wonderful service and welcome to both us and our guests. Thank you Conor - we really appreciate everything you did to make our wedding day so special.

Fiquei neste hotel por uma noite como parte de um grupo de turismo. A localização é linda, com uma praia tranquila nas proximidades. O lobby é limpo e bonito. O check-in não foi tranquilo, pois nos foi atribuído o tipo errado de quarto e tivemos que retornar à recepção para remediar a situação. Em vez de ser atribuído um quarto com duas camas como reservado, nos deram dois quartos com cama de solteiro, então meu colega de quarto e eu fomos separados. Fui designado para o quarto 145, que teve problemas mecânicos: as cortinas transparentes não podiam ser abertas, as cortinas escurecendo do quarto estavam penduradas parcialmente fora dos trilhos e fiquei preso dentro do box do chuveiro quando a porta de correr de vidro emperrou. Eu tive que mexer a porta para fora dos trilhos para sair. Tivemos um jantar de grupo no restaurante. A comida era tudo muito saborosa, exceto para o bolo de caranguejo, que foi mais panificação de caranguejo. A pescada foi cozida com perfeição, e o pudim de pão com sorvete uma sobremesa que eu gostei. A equipe teve dificuldade em gerenciar o grupo, desde receber pedidos de bebidas até entregar a comida às pessoas certas. Um dos jovens servidores não conseguiu diferenciar os tipos de vinho, perguntando se estávamos pedindo tinto ou branco quando um chardonnay ou cabernet foi solicitado. A Mãe Natureza nos presenteou com um lindo arco-íris sobre o oceano enquanto estávamos terminando o jantar.

I stayed at this hotel for one night as part of a tour group. The location is gorgeous, with a walkable beach nearby. The lobby is clean and beautiful. Check-in was not smooth, as we were assigned the wrong type of room and had to return to the desk to remedy the situation. Instead of being assigned a room with two beds as reserved, we were given two single bed rooms, so my roommate and I were separated. I was assigned room 145, which had mechanical issues: The sheer curtains couldn't be opened, the room darkening drapery was hanging partially off the track, and I got stuck inside the shower stall when the glass sliding door jammed. I had to wiggle the door off the track to get out. We had a group dinner in the restaurant. The food was all very tasty except for the crab cake, which was more breading than crab. The hake was cooked to perfection, and the bread pudding with ice cream a dessert I thoroughly enjoyed. The staff had a difficult time managing the group, from taking beverage orders to delivering the food to the right persons. One of the young servers could not differentiate types of wine, asking if we were ordering red or white when a chardonnay or cabernet was requested. Mother Nature treated us to a gorgeous rainbow over the ocean as we were finishing dinner.

Minha mãe e eu tivemos uma estadia LINDA no Portmarnock Hotel! Fomos recebidos por uma entrada encantadora com decoração harmoniosa e flores frescas no foyer principal. Imelda na recepção foi incrível! Ela nos ajudou com nossas acomodações e nos acolheu tão graciosamente! Obrigado Imelda! Houve outro colega amigável que ajudou com a nossa reserva também! Obrigada! O nosso quarto era grande, espaçoso, limpo, confortável e tranquilo. Tivemos vista para o mar, um recanto para beber chá e relaxar. O café da manhã foi maravilhoso. Grande seleção de ovos mexidos, ovos fritos / escalfados, pudins, batata, salsicha, presunto de bacon com frutas e pão de soda irlandês. Tivemos um tempo e estadia excepcional! O oceano estava a um passo de distância! Mar calmo lindo! Aproveite, aproveite, aproveite!! Muita diversão e descanso!

Beautiful stay at this golf resort. The hotel room views are amazing and the hotel staff was nice. We had dinner at the Jameson bar and the food (steak) was delish. Would strongly recommend. Not cheap but worth it.

The hotel itself is lovely. But the service in the bar is absolutely terrible. Sitting down for 10 minutes with no one coming over to us. Had to go ask for menu’s. Then had to go ask again for someone to take our order. The person behind the bar is rude.. but not just to customers.. also to the servers so.. at least he’s consistent. Ordered drinks and food. Food arrived, and had to go ask for the drinks again. Nothing crazy. Just a pint and a G&T. Asked for mayo with the food. Never arrived. The bar seems to have nothing but disinterested teenagers working in it. It wasn’t busy, and there were plenty of seats. Used to be so much better. Won’t be coming back anytime soon. *edit* people at the next table walked out while still waiting 20 minutes for their drinks.

If you are a golfer this would be a great hotel for you as a links course is attached which is beautiful. There is beach access within a short walk. The restaurant dinner was good. The bar was busy & service a bit slow. Breakfast was ok and slow if ordered from menu. The staff that was working was doing a great job with what appeared to be staff shortages. We arrived with a bus tour so could not park near entrance. 24 of us. There was no porter for bags and the bag lift at the steps was out of order. Once you dragged your bags inside there were more stairs & an operating small glass lift. Well thanks to men in our group that helped drag the bags up more stairs. The front desk did not check us in. Gave keys & a list to our driver & left it up to him. The location is not within walking distance to the city or any nearby stores, restaurants anything really. I believe this was at one time a wonderful place to stay but definitely caters to the golfers. I believe staff shortages attributed to the sub par service. The rooms were clean.

My mom and I had a BEAUTIFUL stay at Portmarnock Hotel! We were greeted by a lovely entrance with harmonious decor and fresh flowers in the main foyer. Imelda at the reception was amazing! She helped us with our accommodations and welcomed us so so graciously! Thank you Imelda! There was another friendly fellow who helped with our reservation as well! Thank you! Our room was large, spacious, clean, comfortable and peaceful. We had ocean views, a nook to drink tea and relax. Breakfast was wonderful. Great selection of scrambled eggs, fried/poached eggs, puddings, potato, sausage, bacon ham with fruits and Irish Soda Bread. We had an exceptional time and stay! The ocean was just a step away! Beautiful calm sea! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!! Great fun and rest!

Localização linda, a praia é maravilhosa, o terraço do quarto com vista para a praia e campo de golf, superou as expectativas. Staff prestável, quarto silencioso e acolhedor, pequeno almoço bom, a 10 minutos a pé do bus para o centro de Dublin, a viagem demora cerca de 30 minutos e temos de pagar 3,30€ por trajectopois não dão troco. Precioso hotel en la costa, la playa está pegada y si el tiempo acompaña puedes disfrutar del día. Es servicio fue bueno ya que están encantados de ayudarte si planeas una sorpresa en la habitación 😅. Sin duda es un lugar donde repetiremos sin problema algún día.
