Not clean, rooms look very different from online. Breakfast is very poor. Only good thing was the view on the rose garden and the coffee. Bathroom looked very dirty and felt not nice to be in the room at all. Free parking is nice. 20 minute walk to city is nice.

Spent 3 nights here on the recommendation of friends. Had a great meal from the restaurant, lovely comfortable beds and clean rooms. Yes, the bathroom is dated. The staff were polite, friendly and professional, even when dealing with the more demanding customers who swamped the place for the Harry Styles concert. Close to the viaduct (minutes in an uber) and city, lovely gardens over the road and a handy shopping centre nearby. It's the perfect base for a busy Auckland stay.

Rooms aren't as dated as people say, maybe bathrooms could use a reno..
Cleanliness iffy, moldy shower curtain, hair and soap in shower from last person still.
Beds super comfy, however I found the white balls lights on the roadside to be too bright and messed with my sleeps.
Had a steak meal room serviced from the restaurant, good taste and and came quickly. Expected more than 2 onion rings though..
Good bang for buck, I'll probably be back

Great location and very central. The room is very good for its age. The bed was very comfortable but the bathroom was a bit dated. The food was average and the noise was a bit much. However it did its job and was sufficient for a couple of night’s accommodation

Very comfortable hotel, and great value for the price. Loved being so close to the beautiful rose garden. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was very heavy rain one day during our stay and we had a leak in our room through the window soaking the carpet. Esther was really helpful getting us a new room straight away and we really appreciate it.
The only drawback which isn’t the hotel’s fault at all is that it’s close to a busy port which was quite noisy at night. This didn’t bother my partner at all but I have really sensitive hearing so it was sometimes hard sleeping. Bring headphones or white noise if you’re like me. I’d definitely stay again, thank you!
