I stayed at this hotel about 4yrs ago. It was OK, so I decided to stay again on my recent trip. I booked for 7 nights. The positives, location is central and it's easy to get anywhere from the hotel. Many Indian restaurants nearby. Room size is good. Decent lobby, good Wi-Fi.
The negative, the Asian guy at reception has a bad attitude! His behavior was as if he was doing me some favor by allowing me to stay at the hotel. It was really annoying and rude! Second the bath towels were so bad. So many blood stains and other types of stains. Very dirty and not hygienic. Forget hand towels, seems no budget hotel in Malaysia provides hand towels anymore. Cleaning was not very good. Everyday my room was not cleaned till 5pm or later. I would have to request them to clean. After being out all day the last thing you want is to return to your room that has not been cleaned. This after leaving the door tag requesting room to be cleaned. Why?
The cleaning guy also has a big attitude. The receptionist and cleaning guy everyday would tell me oh we are fully booked. We'll that's great but why haven't you cleaned my room? I'm a paying guest! Also, someone was smoking on a non-smoking floor. My eyes were irritated and I could smell the smoke. I informed the hotel, they did nothing! Bed sheets were dirty but they would not replace them. So they have a very high rating on many sites but I don't think that will last long. Bad attitudes towards paying guest isn't going to bring you repeat business. I'm not going to stay there again. I also stayed at the MPalace which is a good alternative worth considering. All the hotels in Malaysia seem to have a stupid deposit policy. In case you loose your key card. It's annoying!

We were really impressed by everything. We walked everywhere, we found a fabulous coffee shop nearby, convenience stores and cheap restaurants. The bed was super comfy, we got amenities everyday and overall a great stay.If the rooftop bar was open that would have been neat.

This was an enjoyable hotel to stay in a cool area. The reception staff were nice. The wifi was strong. The room is big, clean and Aircon was good. There is a rooftop area to chill and also has hot and cold water. I had the no window room but it was ok for acouple of nights only.

This hotel is cheap and in a very good location, close to public transport and in the city centre. The service is also pretty good because I requested an early check in and they were able to accommodate for a reasonable fee. Being a cheap hotel, my expectations were set lower, but in reality the level of cleanliness and maintenance were even lower than I expected and the pictures were a little misleading. The pictures may have been taken when the place was brand new and lighting and angles were perfect - but since then the place has not been well maintained. For example, the towels were stained, including what looked like blood stains and they were clearly past their used by date. I personally would not recommend staying here.

I don‘t know how this place got so good recommendations. I mean the location is quite nice (city centre) but that‘s it. Most of the rooms have NO windows so it gets really sticky inside even with the air circulation system. It‘s also depressing not seeing any sunlight & the hotel doesn‘t have a lobby as well so there‘s no place to chill. The cleanliness is okay.
